ONTARIO SCHOOLS SHUT UNTIL SEPTEMBER
Students will have to wait until September for in-school learning.
BOBCAYGEON SWING BRIDGE UPDATE
While rehab on the Bobcaygeon Swing Bridge continues, there will still be restrictions in place.
TSW TO OPEN FOR SEASON
The Trent Severn Waterway opens for the season on Friday, May 28 at 9am.
PROVINCE GIVES GREEN LIGHT TO LONG WEEKEND GOLF
Golf and tennis will be allowed this long weekend, with outdoor gatherings of up to five people.
STAY-AT-HOME ORDER EXTENDED TO JUNE 2
Premier Doug Ford has extended the stay-at-home order for Ontarians until June 2.
ORV TASK FORCE UPDATE
City of Kawartha Lakes Council has given the green light to a pilot project for ORV use on main roads. A second public meeting of the ORV Task Force in the City of Kawartha Lakes takes place May 20.
SWING BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION DELAYED
Parks Canada says construction on the Bobcaygeon Swing Bridge is taking longer than expected.
MORE RESTRICTIONS AS COVID CASES SKYROCKET
Another two weeks of stay-at-home for a total of six weeks and more restrictions announced today.
PROVINCE SHUTS DOWN AGAIN
Premier Ford has announced another provincial stay-at-home order, effective 12:01am on Thursday, April 8.
VACCINE ROLLS OUT TO 75 AND OVER
Beginning next week, those 75 and older can make appointments to get the COVID-19 vaccine across the province.
DRIVE-THROUGH VACCINATION CLINIC
A COVID-19 vaccination clinic opens today at the Lindsay Exhibition grounds for those 80 or older. Appointments are required.
STAY AT HOME RULES EXTENDED
Ontario has extended their stay-at-home orders until February 9, 2021.
PROVINCE ISSUES STAY-AT-HOME ORDER
Ford issued a stay-at-home order for residents in Ontario beginning Thursday, January 14 at 12:01am.
KIDS DO CARE
More than 500 cards were delivered to seniors by 100 Kids Who Care Kawartha Lakes and more than $1,000 raised for Meals on Wheels.
TOUGH COVID LOCKDOWN ON BOXING DAY
The province is going into lockdown on December 26 to flatten the curve and try to protect hospital beds.
