Choristers' Corner

By April Scott

Happy New Year to all! After the busy season it is fitting to slow down a little. However, we don’t want to be bored and the Choristers are pleased to be resuming practices on Tuesday nights.

Christmas music has been put to bed until next year and it is almost a pleasure to be reviving other familiar pieces as warmups before we start to tackle our spring concert’s selections. Several choristers are getting over the flu and a few are still away but nevertheless we had a good practice.

Of course the group is always looking for new faces and voices. If anyone out there is looking for a new hobby, why not consider joining this fun and friendly group? Now is a great time to join as it is the start of a new season. It is helpful if you have performed in a choir before and can read music, but it's not mandatory. With several church choirs in the village we are keeping our fingers crossed that there might be some tenors or basses out there.

Please call our Director, Bob Plummer at 705-731-1060 for further information if you are at all interested.

Until next time, stay well and warm and be careful on that ice!!
