September’s revival of the Terry Fox Run in Bobcaygeon at the Retirement Suites of Kawartha Lakes raised over

$8,000 for the Terry Fox Foundation and cancer research, say co-ordinators Bev Rancier and Connie Picken.

And they’re coming back next year.

The two local women, who revived the run on a strictly volunteer basis and with basically zero budget, say they are thrilled with the support they have had from both local businesses and individuals. “The enthusiasm of the participants and volunteers on that day was most amazing.”

They are so “thrilled,” in fact, that they’re already committed to coming back next year. “We encourage more workplace teams, family teams, running clubs and other teams to participate.  It is obvious that being a part of a team can be so much fun. See you next year on Sunday, September 20, 2015.”
