Request for Water Reduction

The City of Kawartha Lakes is requesting the Village of Fenelon Falls to participate in a voluntary Water Reduction Request due to unplanned maintenance at the Fenelon Falls Water Treatment Plant. This work is being performed over the next two days (Jan 6-8) and parts of the system have to be temporarily shut down.

This work will not affect the water quality being delivered to the residents and the water will continue to be safe to drink.

The City is asking that all residents reduce their water use over the next 48 hours to ensure the water system capacity levels are maintained.

Reducing your water means minimizing baths, showers, clothes washing and general water use.

Should you have any questions please call the Water and Wastewater Division:

·         Rob Gamache, Supervisor Regulatory Compliance 705-324-9411 ext 1123 or

·         Helena Raposo, Acting Supervisor Water and Wastewater 705-324-9411 ext 1124
